If you are aged between 15 and 19 and want some help finding out what jobs are available locally, which industries are growing, and where are the most promising career opportunities, then this online event is for you. Parents and carers are welcome too!

On May 20th 2021, The Careers and Apprenticeship Show is going virtual, bringing you a full day and evening of activities including;

Full event details will be emailed to registered attendees in March, and you are welcome to attend as an individual throughout the day and evening, or as part of a school group throughout the day.

It’s an unbeatable opportunity to gather information, make sense of your choices, and get inspired, and we hope you can join us!

The event is free to attend for schools, young people and their parents/careers.
As a result of attendance at the virtual CAS Young people will:

1. Have a greater awareness of the opportunities within their local area.

2. Have a broader knowledge of local employers and their recruitment needs.

3. Feel inspired about their future ambitions.

4. Have increased motivation to work towards goals.

As a result of participating in the CAS schools and colleges will:

Achieve towards the following Gatsby benchmarks;

No. 2 Learning from labour market information (LMI)

No. 5 Encounters with employers and employees

No. 7 Encounters with further and higher education

Give their students an opportunity to experience a virtual setting improving transferable skills.

Give key influencers (teachers, parents, careers) the opportunity for CPD learning on LMI.

This is an online event. You can participate anywhere that you have internet access. The event is best accessed on a laptop or desktop computer, however it can also be viewed on a tablet or mobile phone.
Once you have registered visit https://cas2021.vfairs.com/ and click ‘login’ and enter the email address you signed up with as your username. The Show will be live 9am-7pm GMT on 20th May 2021. Once you log in you will be taken to our virtual Lobby. From here you can visit the Exhibition Hall and Main Stage.
Throughout the day you will be able to watch short 30 minute talks from employers and apprenticeship providers on the Main Stage. This will include live Q&As to find out what different careers are like. You will be able to visit the Exhibition Hall where you can explore more than 60 employer booths. You can chat to employers at their booths, and add useful documents to your ‘Show Bag’ to be download before you leave. This could include job application forms, information packs and fact sheets to help you explore your career opportunities. Parents/carers can listen to talks as well as explore the employer booths and ask questions to the exhibitors. This will all be available to access from home or the classroom and a full agenda with timings of the live sessions will be provided in advance, so that you can plan your day in advance. There will be a mix of live sessions and pre-recorded content so that you can tailor your day to suit your interests. This is a great opportunity to explore options and we hope you enjoy it.
The show content will be hosted for 30 days following the event if you missed anything. You will not be able to interact live with the employer booths, but you will be able to download content to read and watch later.
You don’t need to install any software to attend the show, however it will work best using Chrome or Safari and you’ll need a good internet connection. The show can be accessed from a computer, mobile or tablet..
